Hello Everybody !

We thought we should perhaps briefly explain what SOCATO is all about.

When we set up PLATARIS we truly wanted to make a difference to the special world of early childhood. Even if we only made a small impact – we wanted to do what we could.  To us PLATARIS has always been far more than just an organization providng a range of services – it is an opportunity for us to contibute to our community by doing something meaningful.

Though in this time of somewhat questionable authenticity, integrity and moral authority we wanted to create an independent channel where we, and others, could share information and ideas freely with no agenda or obligation. Thus the concept for SOCATO was born. For those who are wondering – SOCATO is a play on Socrates and Plato, the teacher and the student. Socrates amongst many of his achievements is often viewed as the father of Ethics and Virture in Western civilzation and passed on his passion for these values to his student Plato. Though as Schopenhauer simply stated “Compassion is the basis of all Morality”.

What we have developed is nothing fancy (as you can see) but hopefully it will encourage people to think, to make them aware of the true potential they have to create change. These are early days and who knows what will happen - but we thought it was worth a try !
